What is Perio Protect?
After testing out the treatment ourselves, we’re extremely excited to offer Perio Protect, a new treatment for gum disease that can be done in the comfort of your own home! A minimally invasive, cost-effective way to maintain oral health, Perio Protect can reduce the frequency of scaling appointments, and in some cases remove the need for surgery to combat gum disease.
“The trays are designed with a patented seal to place and hold medication where it is most effective—at the site of infection deep below the gum line. A low concentration of hydrogen peroxide gently and thoroughly cleanses the pockets between the gum and the teeth, combating bacteria, whitening your teeth and freshening your breath.

“Prior to introducing Perio Protect to our patients, I decided to try it out myself. I have been using the Perio Protect trays and their patented Hydrogen Peroxide gel for a little over a month now. My experience and results have been fantastic.
I’ve noticed I have much less biofilm (“fuzzy slipper” feeling) on my teeth when I remove the trays. My teeth feel noticeably cleaner after using this product. So much so that I am quite motivated to use it regularly. My personal regimen has been to wear the trays for 10 minutes a day, whilst I shower. I noticed that much less tartar build-up was occurring on my teeth, and that the tartar that was forming would flake off easily as I flossed. Treatment Process

If you decide to proceed with Perio Protect, we’ll take impressions of your mouth and send them to the lab so your custom trays can be created.

Results
In addition to healthier gums, patients will notice fresher breath in the first few days of treatment. Whiter teeth take a little longer to notice, close to 5 weeks for significant changes, because the peroxide is such a low concentration (which also means that there are very few reports of sensitivity). With daily usage, there are also no eating or drinking restrictions.
